Last year, I announced that I was invited to teach at Click Away 2018! The incredible team from Clickin Moms reached out to have me teach two boutique sessions during this year’s 3-day conference in Amelia Island, Florida. What will I be teaching? A hands-on class titled “Fine Art Portraiture: Composing With Light & Creative Framing” where we’ll focus on ways to take your portraits from ordinary to unique and eye-catching. At first, I had no idea what I wanted to teach, but after some brainstorming, I realized there are a few techniques I use nearly every time I pick up my camera that other photographers could definitely benefit from to see their subjects differently, to experiment with light and composition, and to improve their portfolio overall. Well, somehow time has flown by and Click Away is coming up in less than 2 weeks! I can’t even believe it. It’ll be my first time teaching at a conference and my brain is currently in a mix of equal parts nervousness and excitement.
