Food lovers, let me give you some wedding planning advice: If there’s a restaurant you love that has lots of gorgeous natural light, can accommodate all your favorite people, and is aesthetically pleasing, you should probably go ahead and get married right there. Brittany and Ricky had the right idea when they chose to have their wedding at Battello in Jersey City last summer. I’m obsessed with Battello because it simply has it all. Big windows letting in the bright daylight and giving everyone a stunning view of the New York City skyline from across the Hudson River, modern and chic seating and decor, and the seafood you dream and drool about. Brittany & Ricky’s talented vendor team designed the space with tropical florals and greenery making it feel even more like the best summer day you could ask for.
My friend Bri invited me to second shoot this Jersey City wedding with her and how could I have not said yes?! We stayed at the Westin Jersey City which was also where Brittany and Ricky got ready for their day. Ricky got a fresh haircut at Virile before taking the train with his groomsmen around the city. Brittany had her girls wear two piece mismatched crop tops and maxi skirts which is now my absolute favorite combo for bridesmaids! What you can’t tell from the photos below is that we dodged crazy summer storms three different times throughout the day. The forecast was calling for rain all day, but thankfully, it was clear and sunny for enough of the day for all of us to stay dry. The last downpour of the night left an incredible double rainbow in the sky just as Brittany, Ricky, and their guests were finishing dinner and toasts. And to finish this Battello Jersey City wedding night off, these two had a dry ice sundae bar, brownies with their faces on them, and soft pretzels & hot dogs in to-go boxes. A delicious day for allll five of my senses.
Absolutely stunning! Always love your photos!
