Is there such a thing as a perfect spring day in Atlanta? If there is, then this day was it. Jessica, Michael, and I romped around downtown Atlanta for their engagement session on a sunny Friday afternoon and it made for such an idyllic evening! I’m not sure why but I’ve barely done any engagement sessions in the heart of downtown Atlanta! However, after this amazing shoot, I am now 100% obsessed with the cityscape as my backdrop for any and all shoots in the future. With hidden alleys, light peeking in and out, empty parking decks, and that gorgeous skyline, I had a complete field day for this downtown Atlanta engagement session! We started near Switchyards Downtown Club then made our way along Ted Turner Drive to a parking deck overlooking Centennial Olympic Park and the ferris wheel aka Skyview. And to end with such a golden sunset was just the best.
Speaking of the best, Jessica and Michael are absolutely up there as a couple and as individuals. I met them both last summer and got to know them pretty well as we packed in a car to drive 3 hours each way to Savannah for a weekend with friends. I remember them telling me how they met, how their relationship has grown, & how they’re total opposites (Jessica is an extrovert and Michael is an introvert among other differences) but they truly complement each other in all the right ways. Jessica admires how patient and hard-working of a man Michael is, and Michael loves how Jessica is so honest and supportive of him and his dreams. They are SUCH fun people to be around (if you can’t tell by these photos!!) and having a firsthand look at how they are honoring Christ through their relationship is the coolest thing! I’m excited to chase more sunsets and attempt to make serious GQ faces with them both on their wedding day next weekend!
Jessica and Michael your engagement photoes are nothing short of amazing. I enjoyed each and every one. They allowed me to momentarily peak inside of your beautiful relationship and the obvious love you have for one another.
I am so excited tor you and regret not being able to be there to share your special day. I can hardly wait to see the wedding photos. Blessings to you both. Love, Aunt Martha
