I’m quite frankly in awe of this Atlanta City Hall wedding day and this incredible couple.

Their engagement session blew my mind and I knew the same was on the horizon for their wedding. The whole day happened right in the heart of downtown Atlanta and if you know me, then you know how much I just love shooting with the city skylines and alleyways surrounding me. Everyone prepped for the day on the top floor of the Marriott overlooking all of the city. God bless those floor-to-ceiling windows and the soft gray light coming in! I loved giving Ryan the time to breathe and take in all of the views. Corey and his guys got to explore almost every corner of Peachtree St. for their portraits, thanks to my second shooter, Matthew. Before the ceremony, Ryan & Corey plus their dads prayed together in the courtyard of the city hall and it was so beautiful to witness that closeness.

Unlike a lot of other major cities, Atlanta doesn’t host too many weddings in the city hall. It’s mostly a space for government meetings, swearing-in ceremonies, and less fancy or exciting events. So, to see the lobby transformed into Ryan and Corey’s reception space was absolutely unreal. Their team of vendors designed an upscale, classy, and super elegant reception with the fountain and sweetheart table at the focus. I loved it! Between the ceremony and the reception, I got to steal Ryan & Corey upstairs on the rooftop, and the view was unbelievable. The sunset was so serene! Ryan and Corey infused their love for travel into their wedding in the coolest ways. The tables at the reception were named by locations of places they’ve traveled together: San Francisco, Dominican Republic, Dallas, Cancun, just to name a few.

Ryan and Corey are honestly a dream couple come true. They were both so excited throughout the time we spent together leading up to their day. With every month that passed, I was looking forward to their wedding more and more because I knew how much love and joy was going to be present. Their family and friends were beautiful and welcoming, which made my job so easy! I can’t say enough great things about these two and the imagery they invited me to create from their loving, selfless, and natural personalities.
