One month down in 2019 already!? Time is seriously flying! January was a jam-packed month for me and my business in the best ways! Workshops, traveling, seeing old friends, meeting lots of new ones, spending time with family, and all that fun stuff.
I can’t believe it’s already time to announce my spring internship application is open!
Last year, I hired my very first intern and the 3-month experience seriously changed my life and my business in so many great ways! Radina was an angel of an intern, so I’m very excited to welcome a new person to my team this year! This position is not restricted to photographers because photography experience is not required! It is mainly an administrative position. Please read all the details before applying!
Qualifications :
- 10-15 hours weekly commitment with a somewhat flexible schedule based here in Atlanta
- Has an interest in photography (experience is not required!)
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Eager to learn, serve, and grow
- Enjoys being around and meeting new people (sometimes up to several hundred in one day!)
- A great work ethic–you can solve problems responsibly, independently, and efficiently
- Very familiar with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest)
- Loves Jeni’s Ice Cream (or dessert in general)
- Available to assist at weddings (usually on Saturdays)
- Bonus! A working knowledge of Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign, iMovie, and/or Squarespace
Responsibilities & what you can expect to learn:
- Assisting on wedding days and during portrait shoots with everything from carrying equipment to organizing the timeline of the day
- Social media planning and management
- Communicating with clients and vendors before and after wedding days
- Prepping blog posts and incorporating SEO
- Ordering, packaging, and shipping client orders and gifts
- Prepping photography gear for shoots
- Creating client slideshows
- And more!
This is a paid position & is a great learning opportunity for all experience levels! If chosen for the internship, you will work in person at my home office in West Atlanta, Georgia as well as on site during shoots. The internship will begin the week of March 4 and end on May 24.
