Elyse & Jacob’s wedding at Cator Woolford Gardens in Decatur could not have been more heartfelt. They focused on simplicity by deciding not to have any bridesmaids or groomsmen, and instead emphasized what mattered most to them—their families and close friends.
I learned so much about their character throughout their wedding day, and I think that’s what made it so beautiful. I saw how Elyse’s parents were so important to her life. The way she and her dad cried in each other’s arms during their first look was so special. I witnessed how Jacob’s parents and siblings are a close-knit circle of support around him and lead him to be a good example in his family and his community. And from their personal vows during the ceremony, I heard how after knowing each other for so many years, Jacob and Elyse were right for each other because of so many core values they share. All this love culminated with the best dance party and pom-pom exit at the end of the night. I would photograph this day all over again if I could! Enjoy.
