Alex and Daeja are officially married, which means I can share Daeja’s bridal portraits inspired by a winter wedding at Summerour. How stunning is Daeja?! At the end of last year, she reached out to schedule a bridal session with me prior to her upcoming wedding day. Daeja wanted to savor as much of her season as a bride, and this session was perfect for doing that. Who says you only get to wear your wedding gown once? Daeja recommends all brides incorporate a bridal session with their photographer into their wedding plans! Since the actual wedding day is usually fast-paced, there isn’t always room for relaxed and adventurous portraits of the bride alone in her dress. With an hour-long bridal session, Daeja was excited knowing she’ll walk away from her time as a bride with plenty of pictures of her in this incredible gown she loves!
We started her session at Blanc Studio West for a minimal yet vibrant feel. I loved that Daeja included her shoes from Bella Belle and makeup by B For Beaute Co. She created her lush pastel bouquet herself, and Miss Hayley Paige designed her gorgeous gown.
As an Atlanta-based wedding photographer, I have a list of favorite wedding venues, and Summerour is at the top of it. Every time I step foot in the courtyard, it truly feels like I’ve been transported to Italy. With the European rustic charm, exposed brick, and unique greenery, Summerour is simply beautiful at any time of the year. In the winter, I love to take advantage of their interior space, especially the long and narrow hallway. I could have photographed Daeja in that space forever! The soft light coming in through the windows and the clean cement wall really brought out her bridal look. I’m eager to share more from her and Alex’s wedding soon!
