One of the most beautiful aspects of a wedding day is the abundance of emotions. I always strive to capture these real emotions in my photos. I remain observant and anticipate those moments when you’re lost in each other’s eyes or sharing a genuine laugh.
These are things you can’t pose or force! They’re the stories found between the big events that happen throughout the day. And these are the in-between moments where you’re completely “in it,” and there’s nothing I have to do but preserve the story.
Posing and Framing
It’s only natural to feel nervous or awkward in front of a camera, especially if you’re not a professional model. And that’s the majority of us! The thing is, if you feel unsure of yourself, it can impact your posture, facial expressions, and overall confidence. This is where having the expertise of a professional photographer is gold.
For example, I use my nine years’ worth of knowledge of lighting, composition, and directing to guide you into natural and flattering poses that highlight your best features. I also focus on hand placement, body angles, and expressions that are natural and visually appealing.

An engagement session can be a game-changer in helping you feel your best on camera. For one, it provides an opportunity for us to establish a comfortable and trusting relationship with each other. During the session, we’ll get to know one another and build a rapport that allows you to relax and be yourselves in front of the camera. You’ll also get to see how I work and get an idea of how the process will flow on the wedding day.
Additionally, an engagement session gives you a chance to practice actually being in front of the camera, which can be a significant confidence booster. Practicing will help you find your comfort zone, discover poses that flatter your features, and you’ll learn how to express your love and connection genuinely.

Professional Editing
Post-processing and editing are crucial elements of wedding photography that can greatly enhance the final outcome. Fortunately, as a film photographer, the color in my photos is already quite true-to-life and consistent.
But if something needs adjusting or retouching to ensure you look your best (while still looking like yourself), I can enhance the images while maintaining their authenticity.
