This time last year I was surrounded by the biggest mountains I’ve ever seen, the crisp west coast air, and 20 other super talented wedding photographers from around the US and Canada. We all came together in Leavenworth, Washington for the Cascade Workshop hosted by Benj Haisch. You can read more about my experience here!

The workshop was truly amazing, and one of my favorite parts was getting to spend golden hour along a beautiful river with mountains all around us photographing three gorgeous couples. The light in Washington is different from here in Atlanta. It’s calmer and more subtle in a way, yet it was just so stinkin perfect on this summer afternoon. With the wind blowing just right, the perfect amount of clouds in the blue sky, and luscious greenery everywhere, it was hard to take a bad picture out there! Benj taught us some super crucial composition techniques that helped especially with framing subjects within the mountains and nature. These are some of my favorite photographs I’ve ever taken! I’m ready for my next adventure to the Pacific Northwest. I’m so ready to book a wedding or couple’s session back in Leavenworth, Washington!
