The Swan Coach House in Buckhead is one of Atlanta’s most high demand wedding venues. This venue and its surroundings are simply stunning at any time of the year, thanks to the trees and natural sunlight, the sophisticated indoor space, and the elegant patio and courtyard, perfect for both a wedding ceremony and reception. The Swan Coach House is actually part of the Atlanta History Center and includes a restaurant, a gift shop, and an art gallery in addition to the space dedicated to weddings and events. Everything about this venue is classy and glam, which is why it was the perfect location for this editorial wedding shoot.

The incredibly talented duo of wedding planner Anna Panu and wedding photographer Katie Cathell put together this styled wedding shoot, and they invited me and three other photographers to join in on the afternoon. Their inspiration for this Swan Coach House wedding was to infuse a modern twist into the historic and elegant venue. The romantic tablescape emphasized by a cascading flower display as well as the geometric details throughout helped bring their vision to life. What I love most about their design was how the table is full of greenery, lush florals, and candles, but it still feels like a simplistic dinner setting. The ceremony altar brings in a bold and modern element by using a custom-made geometric arch and bright buds on the corners. I really can’t get enough of how timeless yet unique this shoot at the Swan Coach House came to be! Also, our “bride and groom” are actually a pair of close friends, so it was pretty fun to watch them pretend to be in love all day.
