It’s Ryan & Corey’s wedding week!! I’ve been so eager to share their engagement shoot from our afternoon together at Cator Woolford Gardens and Ponce City Market way back in May, and now is definitely the perfect time to show it off. Ryan & Corey are basically #goals. Corey was actually a groomsman in Paula & Terrance’s wedding that I photographed here in Atlanta last November, so getting to reunite with him plus getting to know Ryan has been SO much fun. To be honest though, this engagement shoot almost didn’t happen! On the morning we had the shoot scheduled, the forecast was calling for so much rain, thanks to Atlanta’s unpredictably stormy summers. Ryan and I were texting about changing locations or cancelling and rescheduling, but we stuck to it and prayed for the weather to be on our side. And it was!
Ryan & Corey wanted a two-part engagement shoot with a combo of a casual summer look and a high-end glamorous one too. Cator Woolford Gardens made for a beauuutiful place to start. I’d been wanting to photograph there for a while because of how lush and photogenic of an area it is right in the heart of Atlanta. It was a little muggy and humid and it did start to drizzle as we finished up, but man was the sunlight coming through the trees gorgeous! After a quick outfit change, we let the rain pass and did more shooting at Ponce City Market and on the Beltline. The view of Atlanta from the North Ave bridge is one of my favorite places in the city. And Ryan in that blue gown? Absolutely perfect. Corey looked real clean too 🙂 These two were super easy to photograph and I can’t even wait for their wedding at Atlanta City Hall this weekend!! It’s gonna be a good one.
