There’s something about photographing high school sweethearts that feels a bit different than other couples. It’s as if they giggle a little more, they cuddle in a little closer, and they hold hands in such a genuine way. Speaking of hands, that’s a lot of what I focused on during Bryanna & Nick’s engagement session at the Library of Congress in Washington DC last summer. The connection between their fingers and the way they naturally embraced each other was my favorite thing to watch for.

I’m so excited for Bryanna & Nick’s wedding this month! I’ve known Bryanna for yearsss since our summer camp and middle school days in Virginia. She’s simply the sweetest girl with SO much love in her heart for her friends, family, Nick (obvi), her pups, and even strangers. Bryanna loves everyone and her big, bright smile is impossible to ignore. She and Nick are so different but they love and complement each other just perfectly.

After all these years, it was always meant to be the two of them.
