I have an exciting announcement today: I’m hiring an associate wedding photographer to join my team!

In the last few years, I’ve had to turn away a lot of clients due to already being booked for their wedding date. It’s been a desire of mine for a while now to have another in-house photographer so that more couples can have the Kiyah C experience. This is why I’m looking to add another gifted photographer to my team who I will train and work with in order to accommodate more clients!

Information About Kiyah C Photography

Kiyah C Photography was established in 2014 as a wedding and portrait photography company in Atlanta, Georgia and grew into the Washington DC area in 2018. In the past six years, KCP has photographed over 200 weddings and portraits across the US and internationally. Currently, the KCP team is made up of Kiyah (lead photographer and owner), contracted second shooters, and seasonal interns. At KCP, we are inspired by truth, captivated by beauty, and passionate about people. We desire to love and respect our clients, maintain professionalism at all times, and glorify God in everything we do.

Position Overview

The associate photographer position is ideal for someone that has a passion for wedding and portrait photography and enjoys interacting with clients but does not want to handle editing or business operations. Please note: this position is not suited for someone who already owns and wants to continue owning their own photography business.

Qualifications

• Weekend availability for photographing weddings
• A natural eye or gift in photography and passion for the wedding industry
• Experience shooting in manual mode using a DSLR camera
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Eager to learn, serve, and grow
• Enjoys being around and meeting new people
• A great work ethic–you can solve problems responsibly, independently, and efficiently
• Works well on a team and values communication, growth, and feedback
• Very familiar with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest)
• Loves Jeni’s Ice Cream (or dessert in general)
• Bonuses: Familiarity or experience with film photography; experience shooting weddings

Additional Information:

• This is a paid position that is compatible with another part-time or full-time job
• You do not need to own your own photography equipment, but it is a big bonus if you do
• We are not in a rush to hire, so if we don’t find the right fit for the team, we won’t hire and will continue interviewing
• You will be trained to shoot like Kiyah but still have creative freedom and your own personal style
