Jess & Morgan’s Clubhouse at Baywood Delaware wedding was a favorite of mine from all of 2021. You see, I’ve known Morgan since middle school. Thanks to social media and two other weddings I photographed where he was a guest, we stayed in touch over the many years since our pre-teen days. Not long after he proposed to Jess, they contacted me about their plans to get married in Delaware, a place where Jess and her family have spent a lot of time over the years. There’s nothing like celebrating a wedding day in a location that is meaningful and unique to the bride and groom!
It was rainy, gray, and quite chilly the day before Jess & Morgan’s wedding when I arrived in Delaware. Thankfully, all was clear, sunny, and warm the next day as Jess got ready at a nearby hotel and Morgan prepped at the clubhouse library. I loved how Jess made sure to have not only her bridesmaids but her mom, brother, and grandmothers by her side. Some of Jess’s personal touches included a beautiful pillow and jewelry that had been in her family for many years. Morgan’s older brother and childhood friends made up his groomsmen squad and they all looked extremely dapper in their tuxes!
Before the ceremony, Jess and Morgan opted to exchange letters and gifts without seeing each other. This was such a special and light-hearted moment for them, and that same feeling carried on into their ceremony. Both of their moms shared readings, and Jess and Morgan exchanged personal vows before officially becoming husband and wife! The rest of their day included a golden sunset, a few entertaining toasts, and a wild dance floor.
